History: Pro Optica S.A. is a private Romanian company, based on the former Romanian state owned optical system house, established in 1936.
PRO OPTICA became integral private company in year 2001.
The company started with activity and sales in research and development (projects, demonstrators) and optical components markets.
In 2001, along with privatization, and important decision was to pass to final products, not only projects and demonstrators. Since 2001 towards, the company was developed gradually from products to systems and from systems to complete solutions (prime contractor).
Pro Optica is the leader of the Romanian Defense & Security optronic based solutions Market and a player in the International Market.
Romanian and worldwide Customers and using, day and night, in real operational missions, our:
- more than 2000 Night Vision Devices for Infantry,
- driver, commander, gunner and protection solutions for more than 358 Armored Vehicles,
- 149 Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) systems
Pro Optica holds 13 patents and registered trademarks.
Management: Pro Optica is managed by a former military technical and operational team.
Human Resources: The high professionalism in performing the work, the dynamics of development and the flexibility to the market demands are sustained and achieved by the teamwork of the 69 employees of the company (scientists, engineers, technologists, economists, technicians and administrative personnel).
From the total of 69 employees, 10% are PhD graduates, 52% hold a bacherlors degree and 48% have background education/ ungraduated.
Company’s management is ensured by the CEO, the Executive Director and the Department Managers.
